Move a game server to Coritan
Copy a server’s files from another host into your Coritan server over SFTP or FTP, to bring a world, its plugins and its settings with you.
The Import tab of a server copies its files from another host over SFTP or FTP. It copies files only, so the server’s software stays as it is.

How to move
- Order the server. Order the same game on App Deployment, so the software is the one your files expect. Read the guide
- Get the file access details. In the other host’s panel, find the address, the port, the username and the password for SFTP or FTP. Read the guide
- Import the files. Open the server’s Import tab, enter the details and start. We copy the folder you name. Read the guide
What to know first
- The other host must be on a public address. We refuse private and local addresses.
- FTPS is not supported. Use SFTP, or plain FTP if the other host offers it.
- The files must fit in the new server’s disk space. For a very large folder, import one sub-folder at a time.
- The server cannot be installing, moving to another machine or suspended while you import.
